amiss is a reflection of our design philosophy and attraction to naturally occurring beauty. Drawing from the industrious spirit of the Australian bush and Sri Lankan reverence for nature, we approach design through the art of noticing, paying attention to the overlooked, the irregular, and the in between.

Our experimental practice is led by observation, material exploration, and dialogue. Through testing, intuition, and response, ideas are allowed to unfold rather than be forced, creating objects that exist authentically amiss, free spirited, unique, yet familiar.
